Vinton Quarter Horses focuses on the breeding of Foundation American Quarter Horses with the proven bloodlines of Driftwood, his son; Driftwood Ike, grandson; Orphan Drift, great grandson; Glenwood, along with Joe Hancock, War Chief, War Concho, Roan Prairie, Happy Hancock, & Sun Frost. The center of our program remains with the late sire Happy Glen.
We breed for disposition and conformation, which is why we have retained many of the Happy Glen daughters for broodmares over the years.
All of our horses are born, raised, and bred in, the middle of God’s Country, the Nebraska Sandhills. They roam the hills and drink from the great waters of the Dismal River. They subsist the unpredictable winters, live off the pastures and occasional hay when the snow cover is present. In the summer they reap the benefits of the new growth. The animals are bred to endure the conditions and handle the workload of the Sandhills. We believe that our horses can truly be considered as the all around Ranch, Performance, and Family Horses
